While the Tin Lizzie Stopped in Fernie

If you've ever seen or owned a Tin Lizzie, or know where Fernie BC is, you're in for a great read on a Winterblue Thunder night. Here's a new Daphne Wilson yarn that talks to you like your favorite Grandparent does. It conjures up memories of the days before Sliced Bread and Pantyhose. You will be taken back to what are called 'Simpler Times', when a handshake was a contract and young people believed parents were not related to T-Rex et al.

If you have ever been to Fernie BC, with it's old houses and restored mining town business district (as I have with my young pal Anne, from Quebec), you've smelled the coffee brewing and the pleasant, but elusive, odor of fresh baked apple pie drifting on the breeze.

Crank up the 'Tin Lizzie', Daphne, Anne and I will ride in the Rumble Seat. You can drive, with the dog for company. We'll all enjoy a good spin down memory lane with Daphne as the Interlocutor. We will visit around Fernie and the simpler days and find out how a young girl became a lady without a Lap Top PC or Designer Jeans. Daphne will explain all as we ride along. Next stop, Mr. Ho Lem's Laundry. I need a fresh-air-dried shirt, that smells of Grama Ho Lem's Lye soap, for the Hootenanny tonight in the Skookumchuck Mormon Church basement. The 'Tin Lizzie' will take us there in old fashioned style! You all come now you hear!

My imagination may be getting away on me here, but When the Tin Lizzie Stopped in Fernie is a Barnburner and you wouldn't want to miss it! Daphne Wilson has provided a great Valentine present for under $10.00 Cdn, available on line at www.wynterblue.ca

Now take a whirl around the dance floor with Daphne, I'll handle the Music Box. Speakers on and dance till your eyes pop out. > http://www.contemplator.com/america/buffgals.html
